Taking our learnings from the FC the Abbington draws upon the same roots in using an indoor football outsole but with a more supportive and cushioned phylon midsole with an entirely new more durable upper.

Incorporated in the midsole is a zoom air bag rather than in the sockliner, this gives an improved fit.

The outsole is wider than the FC especially in the middle of the foot around the instep and in the heel area. This gives the user more stability and support. The front of the shoe still has the same thin profile to keep the same board feel and grip. The upper designed by James Arizumi has 2 specific layers in the toe for increased durability with the second layer having concealed stitching. The upper also features a much better fitting ankle area than the FC and a protected internal lace saver option.
